Bailey and Joe were really GREAT to work with and so personable! We have purchased many Toyota/Lexus vehicles over the years and the first time we have dealt with Mike Johnson Hickory Toyota. What a wonderful experience and GREAT deal!!! Our family members will take the 2.5hr trip to deal with them for any future purchases. The finance guy (Eric) was great too! We unfortunately, wont be getting service done there (too far of a drive) but LOVE this dealership. Even let us bring our dog, Sadie, along for the purchase. Thanks Bailey, Joe and Eric!!!!

We purchased a Grand Highlander hybrid in March. The entire process was smooth and efficient. The salesman (Dustin) was the most knowledgeable salesman we had dealt with across multiple dealerships. Interactions with the Finance Manager were efficient and fair. The General Manager (Andy) was easy to work with and made sure all negotiations were followed through. He runs the place like it should be run.

I don’t leave reviews often but the level of service I received at Hickory Toyota definitely deserves one. I was a bit apprehensive going in because a woman walking into a car dealership alone is not always a pleasant experience. But KC and Phillip provided not only exceptional service, but also reassurance and peace of mind. They answered my endless questions, were patient and helpful, were exceedingly polite and respectful and made the whole experience much smoother than I thought possible. I almost want to go back and buy another car. Everyone else I encountered throughout the process or just walking around the dealership was equally polite, knowledgeable, and respectful. What a great business!

I've been a customer of Mike Johnson Hickory Toyota since 2007 when I purchased my Prius new. I had it serviced here whenever I was in town. Recently, I bought my 2015 Highlander Hybrid; they had to repair the brake lines & other braking system hardware. While it was fairly expensive; it was much cheaper than it would have cost in Illinios or Missouri. I also brought in my malfunctioning key fob. Again, they quoted me a cheaper; but fair price for getting it repaired/reprogrammed. All without excessive fees that my local dealerships in Illinois & Missouri are guilty of pushing on customers. The staff at Mike Johnson's have always been honest & upfront with customers about prices & services. They don't try to push to sell them unnecessary additional parts & services that aren't needed. The staff don't need to make a quotas or pad their invoices. It's always good to know that honesty, integrity, & professionalism is continuing in the current society. Where there are plenty of businesses will try to take advantage of customers for their own financial gains. Especially when they are older & on fixed income/pensions. The staff at Mike Johnson's have always been a really reliable employees who respect their customers. Which is why they have such a loyal following of customers that recommend them to family & friend for their own vehicle needs including buying a Toyota as a replacement vehicle.

UPDATE: I traded the 4Runner mentioned below, for a 2026 Sequoia TRD PRO, a couple of months ago, and Eddie D. did a wonderful job, putting it altogether for us. Very courteous and knowledgeable, with no pressure at all. KUDOS to his team, Andy, Dwayne, Joseph, and all the others!! _____ Just purchased a new cavalry blue, TRD Pro 4runner, a few days ago. I have to say, the salesperson, Dwayne Willix, was exceptional. He answered all our questions, with honesty, and that goes a long way. The finance department was quick and painless, very courteous and professional. Andy Lawhon is the main reason this is our second purchase from Mike Johnson, and I will return again. The only complaint I have is, the dealer showroom AC was out of service, at the time, but Andy was nice to turn a fan on us. The deal we got, far outweighed the warmth in the showroom.
